University Advancement is led by David Palmer, Vice-President, who is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of a comprehensive advancement program that includes alumni relations, fundraising, advancement communications and advancement services.
Together with a team of senior advancement executives, the Vice-President, Advancement builds community engagement and fundraising performance for the University through best-practice advancement programs. These programs connect alumni and friends in the life of the institution as volunteers, advocates and supporters, and they in turn extend the University’s global reach and impact. As a university of neighbourhoods, U of T offers alumni a great diversity of ways to connect with their alma mater, build social networks and contribute to the future success of the University.
Led by the Vice-President, Advancement, Boundless: The Campaign for The University of Toronto is the most ambitious fundraising campaign in the University’s, and Canada’s history, with an expanded $2.4 billion goal. The success of the campaign is enabling the institution to fulfill its mission and realize its vast potential to address the world’s most important issues, and prepare future global leaders and citizens.
