University Advancement is led by David Palmer, Vice-President, who is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of a comprehensive advancement program that includes alumni relations, fundraising, advancement communications and marketing, brand strategy, advancement services, and volunteerism.
Together with a team of senior advancement executives, the Vice-President, Advancement supports inclusive excellence at U of T by building community engagement and fundraising performance through best-practice advancement programs. These programs connect alumni and friends as volunteers, advocates, and donors, extending the University’s global reach and impact. The office also leads initiatives that offer alumni a variety of ways to connect with their alma mater, build networks, and contribute to U of T’s success.
The Division of University Advancement comprises seven departments that work together to harness the generosity of our global community in support of U of T’s top priorities.
